Mary Jo Riley

Mary Jo Riley has been in the medical field for more than 45 years. After receiving her LPN license from Pinellas Vocational Institute, Mary Jo moved from Florida to Texas where she began her nursing career on the medical surgery floor at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. After returning to Florida, she continued to specialize in medical surgery at Mease Dunedin Hospital. She then went on to work at Largo Medical Center, followed by a position in a pulmonary doctor’s office. Mary Jo then took a nursing position at Manor Care Rehab Center in Palm Harbor until retiring in 2004.
Mary Jo currently volunteers daily in the nurse’s office at Espiritu Santo Catholic School in Safety Harbor.
Sharing Scott’s passion for education, Mary Jo’s favorite quote is from Dr. Seuss – “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” She believes that education must start with children.
